Hello my friends.
Here is another online class in the Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) I have the privilege of being part of. This course is called Easy Die Cutting.
The technique for this course is learning how to use your dies in unique ways. For this card I decided to use the inlay technique. I love using this technique as you can get two cards out of the process.

How it’s made: I started by cutting two pieces of Solar White 110 lb into 5 ½ x 4 ¼, and one piece to 5 ½ x 8 ½ and scored at 4 ¼ to create the card base. I used Altenew double-sided adhesive sheet on the back of both 5 ½ x 4 ¼. I ink blended in a rainbow pattern using Ruby Red Fresh Dye Ink, Maple Yellow Fresh Dye Ink, Grass Field Fresh Dye Ink, and Ultraviolet Fresh Dye Ink on one of the panels and left the other panel white. I used the zero waste leaf cover plate and die cut two of the cover plate. For the inlay technique, I used the white die cut and removed the leaves and added the cover die cut to the card base. Once that was done, I removed the leaves from the blended panel and inserted the blended die cuts into the white cover plate on the card base. Once I had all of the leaves in their spots, I die cut the outline for the sentiment and die cut the word three times. I glued the three die cut words together to get some dimension then glued that onto the outline. I used the ribbon and wrapped it around my fingers a few times to create the bow and glued it to the middle of the card base. I used foam tape and popped up the sentiment on top of the bow, then added Nuvo Crystal Drops to the circles and completing the first card.

The bonus card was created by creating a card base and the ink blended cover die cut left over and glued it to the card base. I did not add the white die cuts and added a vellum sentiment outline and gold die words and added it to the middle of the card. This finishing the card.

Your cards look great! Rainbow palette is always a great choice to go with!
Love these cheerful cards Shelby! The Zero Waste dies make creating much easier don’t they? A fantastic idea to create a gradient and then die cut. Thanks for sharing! Liz O.
