Shelby AECP Class 53 Celebration Level 1

Hello my friends.

Here is another online class in the Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) I have the privilege of being part of.  This course is called Celebration.

The technique for this course is learning how to use your stencils in creative ways.

How it’s made:    First step was to cut the Canson Watercolor Cardstock to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ for the panel and ink blending the background.  I used ink blending brushes to create background using Ultra Violet first, then blending Ruby Red into the Ultra Violet, then used Maple Yellow to blend into Ruby Red.  Then using the grip mat from the stamp wheel and the Sweater Pattern stencil over the ink blended background.  On the first stencil, I ink blended Andromeda, Grapevine and Honey Drizzle inks in the same pattern as the background.  On the second stencil, I used Cloud White to create the pop of white over the vibrant background.  I also used Canson Watercolor cardstock to stamp the Leaf Canopy and Leaf Canopy add on stamps and stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad after using the antistatic buddy bag.  I then added the embossing powder and heat embossed each image.  Once the embossing was cooled off, I smooshed ink onto my glass mat and added some Nuvo aqua shimmer to the ink and mixed well and painted the stamped images.  I waited for the first layer to dry and then added darker concentrations of the colors to create dimension.  While waiting for the second layer to dry, I cut a piece of Nina solar white 110 lb cardstock to 8 ½ x 5 ½ and created a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card base.  I used the double sided adhesive sheet to adhere the background panel to the card base.  I then used bearly art glue to adhere the yellow leaf clusters and the red leaf clusters and used foam tape to pop up the purple leaf cluster.  Adding the sentiment and ribbon with bearly art glue to finish the card
