Hi All!!
I am so excited. This is my first online class in the Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP). The course I decided to start with is "All About Layering 3".
The technique for this course is learning how to use layering stamps like a Pro.

How did I make it??
I started with Canson Watercolor paper and stamped a total of 4 cardinals from the Winter Cardinal Stamp and Die Bundle (see tips to see how you can do this quickly and easily). I then die cut all the cardinals and branches. I cut a piece of 8 ½ x 11 Solar White cardstock in half to make my card base. I then cut a piece of Canson watercolor paper to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ to fit the front of my card base. I used Altenew’s watercolor brush to add splatters to my panel by adding a smoosh of ink to my glass mat and adding water, then used a flicking motion to add the splatters. While that was drying, I colored the branches with OLO Markers to give some depth and dimension. Once the panel was dry, I used Bearly Art glue to glue the branches to the panel. I used foam adhesive to add dimension to the cardinals and popped one on each branch. I only ended up using 3 of the 4 I die cut, but you can never have enough die cuts. 😊 I then stamped and die cut the sentiment from Delightful Day stamp and die bundle and popped that up on foam tape as well. I then glued the panel onto my base and added the Glossy Accents to the eyes of the cardinals and some iridescent gems for some sparkle.
Products/Supplies Used:
Winter Cardinal Stamp and Die Bundle, Red Cosmo Fresh Dye Ink Cubes (Coral Berry, Ruby Red, & Grapevine), Rhodolite Fresh Dye Ink Pad, Blue Mountain Fresh Dye Ink Cubes (Water Hyacinth, Alpine Aster, Crystal Violet, & Indigo Skies), OLO Markers, Altenew Water Brush, Delightful Day Stamp and Die Bundle (for Sentiment), Iridescent Gems, Canson Watercolor Paper, Nina Solar White 110 lb card stock, Stamp Wheel, Foam Tape, Bearly Art Glue, and Glossy accents.
Tip: I start by die cutting first and creating a template to make sure each layer lined up properly. I die cut 4 birds (one on each corner of a square piece of cardstock) and stamped each layer in a different corner to line up with the die cut with the Altenew Stamp Wheel. You can also use the Misti for this if you do not have the Stamp Wheel.
Please let me know what you think and share when you make yours. 😊 Feel free to reach out with any questions you have.

Congratulations on your first submission of AECP!!! Yay! Thats a wonderful card! Moving forward, please make sure to share more than one photo of your fabulous project.
